British Philosophy olmypiad

In 2018, Tristan led the first ever UK delegation to the International Philosophy Olympiad (IPO) in Bar, Montenegro.  The team won the accolade of writing the best philosophy essays in a language other than English. (The competition requires students to write a four hour essay in a European language [English, French, German or Spanish] which is not the state language of the competitor).  

In November 2018, the inaugural British Philosophy Olympiad was launched - as an end in itself, to promote the teaching of philosophy in British schools – and as a mechanism to select the British delegation to the 2019 IPO in Rome.
